According to research from Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), 85% of companies have seen a permanent increase in the number of employees working from home at least part-time. Post-pandemic, it's expected that about 70% of employees will only be in the office two to three days a week.

Hybrid work has led to increased demand for bandwidth and cloud access, prompting 71% of enterprises to invest more in on-premises LAN infrastructure. This includes upgrading to high-density, multi-gigabit switches and optimizing local-area networks to handle the increased volume of real-time communication traffic, which 95% of enterprises report has risen due to hybrid work.

Forty-two percent of organizations identify new compliance and security requirements as their biggest challenge in hybrid work. Many are addressing these challenges by investing in modern authentication, access control, and segmentation technologies, with 63% of those increasing LAN investments focusing on security and compliance.
